Announcing Codology's Partnership with Invention Corps!

February 27, 2023

Founded in 2017, Invention Corps is a multi-disciplinary organization focused on human-centered design thinking at UC Berkeley. The organization has taken upon itself many projects to help introduce solutions to problems in poverty, health, the environment, and society.

To help students pursue computer science, Codology is working with Invention Corps to create a project discovery and portfolio platform and expand Codology's outreach to underprivileged communities. Reasoned by the necessity of hands-on projects to actualize computer science knowledge and the privilege of participating in computer science programs in current times, both the Codology and Invention Corps team will be working together to help execute the previously mentioned deliverables.

Kelly Ye, an Invention Corps Project Lead, discusses this project during the Invention Corps Pitch Night.

The project discovery and portfolio platform we are developing through our partnership with Invention Corps and UC Berkeley will be an excellent tool for students to build a professional portfolio that showcases their skills and abilities. Moreover, it will allow students to search through a vast database of projects to help them stand out and receive personalized recommendations to enhance their portfolio. The platform will feature a wide range of projects in various areas of computer science, allowing students to browse and explore projects that align with their interests and skills. The database will be constantly updated with new projects to ensure that students always have access to the latest opportunities and ideas.

To help students boost their portfolio, the platform will also provide personalized recommendations based on their skills, experience, and interests. This feature will suggest relevant projects that students can work on to build their skills and add to their portfolio. The recommendations will be tailored to each student's unique needs and goals, ensuring that they receive the most effective advice and support.

We believe that providing excellent customer support is key to the success of our users. As a result, we will offer 24/7 assistance to students who need help with any aspect of the platform. Our team of experts will be available round the clock to provide assistance with technical issues, project recommendations, and any other concerns that students may have. Our platform will also feature a comprehensive knowledge base that contains frequently asked questions and guides to help students navigate the platform independently.

The second part of our partnership aims to increase outreach to underprivileged communities. Our mission has always been to provide access to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, believing that a love of technology and computer science should not be limited by one's background or circumstances. Through this partnership, we will be able to reach even more students in underserved school districts and offer them opportunities to pursue their passion for computer science.

With the support of Invention Corps, we will be able to increase our outreach efforts through user research, marketing strategy, and graphic design. Our aim is to raise awareness about our programs and make them accessible to as many underprivileged students as possible.

We believe that access to computer science education can make a significant impact in the lives of individuals and communities. By expanding our reach and providing support to underprivileged students, we hope to create more opportunities for individuals to pursue careers in technology and computer science.
