This study proposes a novel approach that combines advanced machine learning techniques with computational fluid dynamics to enable real-time forecasting of airborne disease transmission. Read the preliminary abstract here.
This study proposes the utilization of machine learning algorithms to construct a predictive model for assessing the impact of climate change based on various factors such as greenhouse gas emissions, land-use changes, solar radiation, and more. Read the preliminary abstract here.
This paper proposes a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based approach for automated segmentation of brain tumors in MRI images, leading to improved efficiency and accuracy in brain tumor detection, potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures or biopsies.
This paper presents a meta-analysis of machine learning algorithms for accurate prediction of groundwater levels in arid regions, providing insights into the most effective ML algorithms for groundwater prediction and identifying areas for future research.
This paper presents an automated image analysis method using machine learning techniques to accurately detect edited cells and quantify the editing efficiency in high-throughput screening of CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing efficacy.
This research paper evaluates various supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms for predicting stock prices, comparing the performance of various models and providing insights into the strengths and limitations of different approaches.
These are some sample ideas. We encourage you to explore your interests and create your own, unique project!
RESEARCH PAPER
Create a generalized classification model using three-dimensional architecture for Alzheimer's Disease diagnosis through magnetic resonance imaging. Evaluate this model on a database with brain scans, then determine the impact of ML on AD.
RESEARCH PAPER
Analyze the impact of augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in surgery through datasets and models. Compare prior surgical technologies to new, modern surgical technologies that involve AR and VR.
APP
Design and create an application that allows students to reserve school lunches, such that cafeterias are able to prepare an appropriate number of meals and combat waste.
RESEARCH PAPER
Research and analyze artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the environment, specifically carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions.
BLOG
Create a blog compiled of shorter-length research papers that assess the impact of machine learning in different aspects of healthcare, possibly including cancer treatment and disease diagnosis.
PODCAST
Create a podcast with episodes that each cover a different aspect Blockchain technology and its impact on the world. Topics may include the impact of cryptocurrency on the economy or how blockchain aids in money laundering.
With Codology, you have full creative freedom in developing their research projects. From writing a college-level research paper to creating an app, the world is your oyster.
You'll plan out your project, then execute it. You'll also be able to do as much research as you want. You can publish a project anywhere from one to four times a month. The sky's the limit.
After you have finished your project, which usually takes a few weeks, we'll start the publishing process. Projects will be submitted to symposiums, scientific journals, and more. You'll also be featured on our website!
We work as a team. You'll have access to the brilliant minds of our research team members and our additional resources, all of which will help you to perfect your project.
All internship programs come with 10, 1-hour sessions spread out over a period of time. Usually, the first session is an introduction and when you first start working on your project. By the third session, most students have completed their "abstract" and "research question" portions of their project. By the sixth session, students usually draft out at least half of their project, and by the ninth session, students finish their final draft. Then, during the tenth session, students work with their mentors to publish and submit their work.
Yes! Participating in our research internship shows initiative. Colleges look for students who spend time furthering their knowledge and explore topics that they enjoy. Passion projects are extremely valuable on your college application. Our internship is extremely selective, showing that you are a strong applicant.
Nothing! It is completely free. In fact, you are able to win money in some of the symposiums you may want to showcase your work in!
Nope! However, the more detail you provide will allow us to match you with a better mentor.
It depends on the project you want to create. If you want to make an app, it would be very handy to have some experience with app-building tools (XCode, Java, etc.). Our mentors are here to help you build your project, not teach you how to use the tools to build your project.
The application is on this page! Scroll up a little bit and you'll see the application form. Fill out that form, then you are good to go!
The internship can range anywhere from 2 months to 6 months. Typically, students will take around 4-6 months during the school year. It also depends on how much work you want to put in.
You must meet with your mentor at least every 20 days during the school year and every 10 days during the summer. However, it is really up to you!
Mentors and students can chat via messaging platforms, including Discord and Google Chat, or simply email one another.
Once you finish your project, you'll be able to showcase your project in a variety of places, whether it be national symposiums or professional journals.
In this workshop, students will gain a solid understanding of C++ programming as an object-oriented language with modern features. In addition to learning the basic concepts of C++, students will be able to apply their knowledge by designing and creating real-world applications.
Through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, students with little-to-no coding experience will learn the basics of Java, including variables, data types, Strings, conditionals, iteration, and functions.
This workshop will introduce students to the key concepts of machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer science, data mining, and natural language processing. By the end, students will have the skills to develop algorithms and create a simple game using these techniques.
In this workshop, students will learn the basics of web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students will create and edit web pages using basic HTML tags and syntax, use CSS to style and layout web pages, and use JavaScript to add simple interactivity to web pages.
In this workshop, students with little-to-no coding experience will learn the basics of python including variables, conditionals, iteration, and functions, then apply their knowledge by designing and creating a complex game using various libraries and frameworks.
In this workshop, students will learn about the key concepts and techniques used in UI design, including layout, typography, color theory, and user experience. In addition to gaining a strong theoretical understanding of these topics, students will able to practice through hands-on projects and exercises.
