Programming Fundamentals in Java
Through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, students with little-to-no coding experience will learn the basics of Java, including variables, data types, Strings, conditionals, iteration, and functions.
About the Workshop
In this workshop, students will be introduced to the Java programming language. The course will cover a range of topics, including variables, data types, Strings, conditionals, iteration, and functions. The material will be presented through a combination of lectures and hands-on exercises, allowing students to learn the concepts through both theoretical explanations and practical application. Students will be able to:
- Understand the syntax and structure of the Java programming language
- Work with variables, data types, and operators in Java
- Use conditional statements and loops to control the flow of a program
- Define and call functions in Java
- Create basic Java programs, including simple games and applications
- Understand the object-oriented nature of Java and be able to use object-oriented principles in program design
